In 2014 and 2015, the Nicholas Sparks Foundation offered a photography competition for students who had traveled abroad. Our goal was to encourage students who were participating in educational travel opportunities to think critically about what they were seeing and what the experience meant to them. We received a wide range of wonderful submissions from high schoolers around the country, and we awarded a total of $4,000 in prize money to the winners. We regret that we are unable to offer this competition for a third year.
We hope that you will take an opportunity to view the winning photographs from our 2014 competition, whose theme was “courage,” and the 2015 competition, whose theme was “equality.” Congratulations to the eight students whose photos were selected!
