We are delighted to announce that the Epiphany School of Global Studies in New Bern, North Carolina, has been accepted as the first partner school in our Rural Scholarship Alliance.
The RSA provides globally-focused K-12 scholarship program for students from underserved rural communities in the United States. In this country, poverty disproportionately affects children, and it is especially entrenched in rural communities. Our goal is to give students from rural areas an opportunity to thrive.
The Epiphany School of Global Studies is now accepting applications for the first cohort of scholars in the RSA, who will enter kindergarten in August 2015. Prospective students should apply via the school’s normal kindergarten application process and check the box on the K-1 application for consideration for the RSA program. Students are eligible for the RSA at Epiphany if their family’s combined annual income is less than 185% of the federal poverty threshold. More information about admissions at Epiphany in general and about the RSA application process in particular is available on the school’s website.
