All of us at the Nicholas Sparks Foundation are delighted to announce the winners of our 2015 Student Travel Photography Competition.

This year, we asked students from around the country to send us photographs from their travels that addressed the theme of “equality.” With no other guidance, students had to think about what equality meant to them and how they could find it while exploring the world. A flood of wonderful submissions poured in, each one different in its perspective and its approach to the theme.

We asked Nicholas Sparks himself to judge the winning photographs and select five photos to win prizes. Nicholas had a difficult choice, but he eventually settled on one grand prize winner and two honorable mentions. The grand prize photographer will win $500, and we will award $250 prizes to the photographers of each of the honorable mention photographs.
